It was a night to remember, as many remarkable women(s) not only from the state of Perak but from all over the country gather together to celebrate with each other their achievements. Women who have contributed greatly to Perak for at least ten years were recognized and given an award of appreciation based on by the votes of the people.
The Guest of Honour was our very own Prime Minister’s Wife YABhg Datin Seri DiRaja Rosmah Mansor who rendered a beautiful speech later that evening.
VVIPs Include: YB Senator Dato’ Heng Seai Kie (Deputy Minister of Women Affairs, Family and Community Development),
Datin Seri Saripah bte Zulkifli (Chairperson of BAIDURI Perak), and YB Dato’ Hamidah bte Osman.
A total of 21 Award winners and 8 Recognition Individuals.
The event was held in Grand Valley Ballroom at the Kinta Riverfront Hotels & Suites which was the perfect place to hold such prestigious event and I was told by a friend that it was one of the first pillar-less ballroom in Ipoh. (Good Note)
Though this event was by invitation only, Ipohnews had the chance to be part of it. (Yay)

“Hands that rock the cradle can shake the world, so great the influence of a woman, if we desire to realize the potential of ourselves to a higher level.” YABhg Datin Seri DiRaja Rosmah Mansor spoke to the crowd of women at the event last Sunday.
” Women also need to be brave to come forward to be the engine and catalyst to the process of rebuilding self-esteem and strength of the Malaysian race in this millenium ” she added.
Salamiah Hassan, famous during the 70s to 90s also gave a powerful performance that night.
